HOW HYDRALOOP WORKS
Unique water treatment technology:
no filters, membranes or chemicals Each Hydraloop device uses a unique combination of sustainable water treatment technologies that ensures the highest water quality, without requiring regular maintenance or doing harm to the environment. Most water treatment systems depend on filters or membranes. They often get dirty and clogged, so they need regular cleaning, maintenance, and replacement. Most water treatment systems also add chemicals to their water treatment process. This can harm the environment. Hydraloop’s patented technology is consumer friendly, carefree and sustainable. Our treatment process removes dirt, soap and other pollution from greywater without the use of filters, membranes, or chemicals. Hydraloop combines six different technologies: sedimentation, floatation, dissolved air floatation, foam fractionation, an aerobic bioreactor, and disinfection of the cleaned water with powerful UV light.

Kay Tetzner with her Hydraloop H600
A Hydraloop Case Study: Residential Water Savings in Northern California

In the semi-arid landscape of Northern California, where water scarcity is a pressing concern and water prices are on the rise, the quest for sustainable water solutions has never been more critical. Positioned at the forefront of this mission is Hydraloop, a pioneering company dedicated to revolutionizing water management through innovative technologies. This case study delves into the transformative journey of one of Hydraloop's esteemed customers residing in Northern California, highlighting the tangible impact of Hydraloop's innovative water recycling system in a region where water conservation is paramount. With a focus on graywater recycling, Hydraloop offers an integrated approach to water conservation that not only preserves precious resources but also reduces environmental footprints and fosters sustainability.

Meet Alfred Tetzner of Northern California. Alfred and his wife Kay installed a Hydraloop H600 device with DIG COOP in September 2022, and have seen incredible water and money savings over the years. After installing a Hydraloop graywater recycling device, their household water bill dropped over 40%, from 350 dollars per month, to under 160 dollars. In states like California, where water prices are on the rise, recycling your non-potable water is a game changer.

Let us talk numbers. In November 2023, the Tetzner’s Hydraloop H600 device recycled a total of 4396 litres/ 1161 gallons of graywater. Their smartphone connected data report, shows daily highs of 440 litres of water recycled. In the bar chart below, you can see how the amount of graywater recycled per day, differentiates based on user behaviour. There are only 2 of them residing in this household, but Kay Tetzner does laundry for a local ballet studio. Therefore, on laundry days, water consumption will be higher. Vacation days or time spent outside of the house will result in little to no water consumption. Hydraloop learns your patterns and recycles graywater accordingly.

At an annual level, the Tetzner’s Hydraloop device recycled 34,718 litres/ 9172 gallons of graywater. In Southern California, these water savings moved the Tetzner’s out of Tier 4 residential water rates, indicating that they have stayed within their monthly water budget. In a testimonial with Hydraloop, Alfred explains, “Our Hydraloop took us out of Tiers 4 and 3, which are very pricey on the US (United States) coast of California”. Especially in a state where it is common to have a pool or garden, many people tend to reside in the upper tiers, which indicates wasteful water use and is far over budget. Tier 1 or 2 is a far more sustainable place to be, for the environment and for your wallet. Watch Alfred Tetzner and other clients talk about their Hydraloop testimonials here:

The Tetzner’s experience with Hydraloop water recycling technology in Northern California underscores the profound impact of innovative technologies in addressing pressing environmental challenges, particularly water scarcity. By integrating a Hydraloop H600 device, the Tetzner’s achieved remarkable water and financial savings, highlighting the efficacy of Hydraloop's solutions in a real-world setting. The data presented highlights not only the substantial volume of water recycled, but also the adaptability of Hydraloop's system to varying user behaviors, further emphasizing its practicality and efficiency. Moreover, the Tetzner's success story signifies a tangible step towards sustainability, as their household moved out of higher residential water rate tiers, indicative of reduced water consumption and responsible resource management. Looking ahead, Hydraloop's diverse range of products, catering to both residential and commercial sectors, offers promising prospects for widespread adoption and continued water conservation efforts. With its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and education, Hydraloop stands poised to lead the way in revolutionizing water management practices, not only in Northern California but globally. The time is now.
